Buck Knives announced that Saturday, May 21, 2005 will be the date for the ribbon cutting ceremony in their new Idaho facility. Completing the year-long journey from San Diego, CA to Post Falls, ID, Buck Knives is confident about their strong position after relocating their facilities to Idaho.

“We want to officially recognize the coordinated efforts of our employees,
the Idaho community and contractors who have made this complex transition so
smooth,” said CJ Buck, president and CEO of the family business that began
in 1902. “Our relocation and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is a
major step forward, the beginning of a new era for Buck Knives.”

On Saturday, May 21, Buck will open the doors to it¹s new 128,000 square
foot building for the official ribbon cutting ceremony and a public open
house. Designed and constructed to meet Buck¹s specific needs, the new
facility and the friendly manufacturing atmosphere in Idaho will allow Buck
to continue manufacturing the vast majority of their knives in the US.
Civic leaders will join the Buck family during the day¹s activities, and
tours and refreshments will be available.

“The culmination of 3 years of planning, the transition to the Idaho plant
is one of the most significant steps in our company¹s history,” said CJ
Buck. “Everything about this business-friendly region offers opportunities
for us to make our greatest strides forward in being competitive while still
remaining mostly US made.”

“From the beginning of our exploration of possible sites to relocate, Post
Falls delivered the most advantages and answered the challenges that Buck
was facing as we moved into the 21st century,” said Chuck Buck, chairman of
the board. “We are excited that the move has been successfully completed.”

Marketing and Sales teams will continue to operate from offices in the San
Diego area.
