BSN Sports has launched a new division, Club Direct, serving the youth club sports market. Brian Fleming, formerly BSN’s senior vice president of business development, collegiate, is running the business.
BSN, a division of Varsity Brands, said Club Direct represents the “most significant strategic expansion since its founding more than 50 years ago and establishes a new standard for reliability and performance in the club sports space.”
The division will support the equipment, footwear and apparel needs of coaches, fans and athletes at the youth sports level, including delivering decorated stock uniforms in as little as two days and custom-made-to-order uniforms in as as little as four weeks.
BSN said that before launching Club Direct, it commissioned its first annual Club Sports Index, a national study of what drives club sports athletes, parents and owners. The accompanying survey found nearly ninety percent of respondents view the time and money spent on sports as a smart investment for their future.
