Brooks Running signed on as the “Official Footwear Partner” of the New Zealand running team, marking the first Olympic team to be fully sponsored by the brand.
The multi-year deal includes the upcoming Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games through to the LA28 Olympic Summer Games.
As part of the partnership, Brooks will provide footwear for the New Zealand team going into the opening/closing ceremonies, medal presentations and at the Olympic and Commonwealth Games Villages. New Zealand athletes competing in Glasgow this month will be the first to be kitted with team footwear developed for the New Zealand team, with further updates ahead of the LA 2028 Olympic Summer Games opening ceremony.
Brooks also reports supporting the New Zealand Team at youth and pre-elite games. Previously, there was no exclusive brand-wide footwear sponsor for the team.
The New Zealand running team apparel is provided by the New Zealand-based Kathmandu brand.
Dan Sheridan, CEO of Brooks, said, “These athletes embody the dedication, resilience and relentless pursuit of excellence that sits at the core of our brand. We’re super proud to support the team with premium performance footwear for their biggest moments of celebration on one of sport’s biggest stages.”
New Zealand Olympic Committee CEO Nicki Nicol said, “This partnership strengthens how our team presents itself on the world stage, supporting athletes through the key moments that define a Games.”
