Brooks Running named Claire Wood, most recently VP of Product Creation and Global Footwear at Sorel, as VP of Footwear Product Strategy.
Wood had been at Sorel since October 2019, starting as Global Product director before advancing to VP of Global Footwear in December 2021 and to VP of Global Footwear and Product Creation in November 2023.
Prior to Sorel, she was at New Balance for nearly 11 years. In her last role with the company, she was product director and SBU manager, Global Performance Running. She worked at Brooks from October 2025 to January 2009 with her last role being footwear product manager.
In her new role, Wood will “guide Brooks’ footwear product line management, merchandising and product marketing teams.”
“Claire’s creative leadership and bold thinking will strengthen how we deliver cohesive, runner-focused footwear at scale while continuing to support Brooks’ innovation-forward approach to performance footwear,” said Carson Caprara, SVP of Footwear and Apparel at Brooks. “I’m so thrilled she’s returning to Brooks.”
“Brooks has always held a place in my heart,” Wood said. “This brand has an unmatched focus on the runner, and I’m ecstatic to work with such a deeply committed team to connect creativity and craft that runners can feel from the first step.”
