Brooks-Range Mountaineering Equipment, a manufacturer of backcountry and mountaineering equipment, will be the title sponsor of the U.S. National Snowshoe Team for the 2011/12 season. Team Brooks-Range will be provided with Brooks-Range products throughout the snowshoe season that will include the Cirro jacket as well as other key Brooks Range products.

“Brooks-Range has very strong brand awareness in the ski and mountaineering community so we thought sponsoring the U.S. Snowshoe Team would be a natural extension of the brand to help us spread the word among athletes in alternative winter sports,” says Jeff Blakely, general manager for Brooks-Range Mountaineering Equipment. “Many of these athletes are going to be competing all across the U.S. and abroad in numerous international snowshoe race events during the 2011/12 season and Brooks-Range is excited to be a part of that.”

Team Brooks-Range is comprised of sixteen athletes. Their race results will be posted on the Brooks-Range Facebook page throughout the winter along with information about the national championships, taking place in Frisco, Colo., Feb 24-26, 2012.
