Brooks-Range Mountaineering Equipment, a manufacturer of mountaineering equipment, has recently hired Jeff Blakely as the company’s General Manager.

Blakely will start immediately and oversee all product design and manufacturing, budgeting, marketing and operations.

Blakely has deep-rooted experience in product manufacturing within the outdoor industry. Prior to joining the Brooks-Range team, he worked for 14 years at Marmot rising through the ranks to a director level position before stepping out to establish his own successful product design company, Jigsaw Pass. Brooks-Range hired Blakely as a consultant in 2010 and has proven to be such a valuable asset that Brooks-Range president, Matt Brooks decided to bring him on in a full-time management position.

“Brooks-Range has grown exponentially in the past year and the time has come to expand the team and bring in more professionals who can help us launch our next growth phase,” said Matt Brooks, president of Brooks-Range. “Jeff has solid product design experience that applies directly to the outdoor industry. He has shown a deep understanding of the outdoor industry and I believe he will be a valuable asset to Brooks-Range as we continue to grow and add more products to our collection.”

“Brooks-Range Mountaineering has the small family atmosphere that I miss in the outdoor industry. Our team is a small group of passionate outdoor enthusiasts who have come together to create an authentic brand,” said Jeff Blakely. “My goal for the company is to continue to create innovative, high-quality products that Brooks-Range is known for, and to make sure all our customers have a positive experience in the outdoors. If they have a positive experience, then they're going to keep coming back to Brooks-Range as well as the outdoors.”
