Entering only its third year as a team, Brooks Beasts signed two more elite middle-distance runners, Dorian Ulrey and Matt Hillenbrand.

Ulrey, an 11-time All American and an NCAA Champion, comes to the team with professional racing experience under his belt including his 2009 appearance at the IAAF World Championships for Team USA in the 1500-meter run. He boasts personal records of 3:35.23 in the 1500-meter run and 3:55.52 in the mile, both of which will bolster the Beasts’ existing middle-distance potential and provide training support for teammates Nick Symmonds, Riley Masters, Casimir Losxsom, Garrett Heath and Mark Wieczorek.

Hillenbrand, a recent graduate from the University of Kentucky, also joins the Beasts. His raw, untapped talent and versatility in events from the 800m to the 5K make him a valuable addition to the team. Hillenbrand was one of just two collegiate athletes to qualify for the men’s 1500m final at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last year; his potential and energy will be crucial for the team as it evolves.

The addition of Ulrey and Hillenbrand to the Beasts underscores the team’s growing talent pool and its larger goals of being dominant in the sport domestically and on the global stage, along with its commitment to growing the sport here in the U.S.

Ulrey and Hillenbrand will begin racing this season in the Brooks Beasts’ signature Nightlife elite kit.
