Bravo Sports Corp. added three new members, Jeff Balaban, Kyle Brookey and Dave Davenport, to its team.
“With the recent acquisitions of Sector 9 and Pro-Tec, we have expanded our Specialty Division and become the largest skateboard manufacturer in the world,” says Bravo Sports CEO Leonardo Pais. “With the addition of the new lines and in light of our growth across all brands, it was necessary to add key personnel to support us with the best possible leadership.”
Jeff Balaban, Senior Vice President of Sales for the Bravo Sports Specialty Division, returns to Bravo Sports where he increased sales from $15 million to $40 million during his more than 14 years with the company. Most recently, Balaban comes from PTX Performance Products, where he launched brands in the U.S.A., Canada, Europe and the U.K., as well as South America and the Pacific Rim. He has a proven track record with new products in new markets and will bring the specialty division to the next level.
Kyle Brookey, Bravo Sports director of sales, previously held positions at Yvolution and Wild Sales, where he brought licensed products from the NFL, MLB, and NHL to two of the nation’s largest retailers: Walmart and Target. At Bravo Sports, he will be focused on mass retailers at the national level and grow Bravo brands throughout the country.
Dave Davenport, Bravo Sports product manager of helmets and protective gear, will oversee the Pro-Tec brand and integrate the technology and innovation of that brand to other lines within the Bravo portfolio. With an emphasis on safety, one of the fastest-growing aspects of the company, Davenport’s experience in the bicycle industry at Box and Stolen BMX will allow him to grow this sector worldwide.
