Bombas, best known for its socks, announced plans to open a store in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC, bringing its total store count to five.
The store, scheduled to officially open on August 14, is located at 1400 Wisconsin Avenue. NW. Bombas opened its first store on Bleeker Street in New York City in October 2025 and has since added locations in Boca Raton, Houston, and Philadelphia. Bombas’ products are also available at retailers including Nordstrom, Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW, Athleta, and Scheels.
Bombas was founded in 2013 as a buy-one-give-one sock company, when co-founders Randy Goldberg and David Heath learned that socks were the most requested clothing item for homeless shelters. In 2019, the brand moved into t-shirts and, in 2021, into underwear and slippers.
