Bob Kennedy, the former founder of Blue Mile, has partnered, as a co-owner, with Athletic Annex Running Centre, which operates a running store in Indianapolis, IN.

Kennedy wrote in an e-mail to business associates, “Im very excited to be back in the Central Indiana Running and Walking
community and look forward to working with my new partners, Bob Weddle,
Thom Burleson and the rest of Athletic Annexs staff, to continue
providing opportunities for people to achieve their health and fitness
goals through running and walking.”

A reception celebrating the partnership will be held Oct. 22 at the store on 1411 W 86th Street.

Kennedy, a two-time Olympic runner, founded Blue Mile in 2000. He sold his interest in 2012. Last year, Kennedy announced a partnership to acquire three San Diego-based specialty running and walking shoe stores called Movin Shoes. Olympic Marathon silver medalist and San Diego native, Meb Keflezighi is a key partner in the Movin Shoes acquisition.
