BTIG has appointed Bob Drbul and Rob Dickerson as managing directors and research analysts on the Consumer Research team. Drbul will focus on the consumer retail landscape across footwear, apparel and various retail store networks, while Dickerson’s coverage will span consumer staples.

Bob Drbul is a well-known analyst in the active lifestyle market, with a long career covering the top publicly traded brands and retailers in the space. Prior to BTIG, Drbul held similar roles at Guggenheim Securities, Nomura Securities, Barclays Capital, and Lehman Brothers. He is a frequent guest on CNBC, sharing his take on key brands in the market.

Drbul has been ranked No. 1 or No. 2 by Institutional Investor (Extel) 11 times in the Textile, Footwear and Apparel category and named runner-up four times in Broadline Retailing/Department Stores. Earlier in his career, he worked in research at Salomon Brothers and Federated Investors.

Dickerson reportedly has over 20 years of research experience in the consumer space, most recently as a managing director and head of U.S. Food Research at Jefferies. Previously, he was the senior U.S. Food analyst at Deutsche Bank and a founding member of Consumer Edge Research, an independent research firm. Earlier in his career, Dickerson held Equity Analyst roles in AllianceBernstein’s Growth Equities division and Morgan Stanley’s Research division.
