Boathouse Sports, the maker of sublimated team uniforms, debuted its first-ever line of ice hockey uniforms. Boathouse offers two fully sublimated jerseys — the Flight and the Velocity, sublimated hockey socks and tough 420 denier coated nylon Ice Shell pants for a fully integrated and elite uniform package.

“My players wore the same old-style, off the rack jerseys for the past 10 season,” said Dave Wilson, coach at Wissahickon High School Men’s Ice Hockey team in Ambler, PA.  “The team was able to help design their new game jerseys creating a tremendous amount of pride in their appearance both on and off the ice.”

Boathouse’s jerseys are 20 percent lighter than traditional cut-an-sewn jersey and also have double shoulders and elbows with reinforcement at all of the critical seams.  The Flight Jersey has the traditional hockey sweater tie neck and the Velocity has a sleek V-neck collar. Boathouse’s pants, the Ice Shell, are built from tough 420 denier coated nylon oxford with stretch insets for added mobility and an adjustable buckle waistband.  All styles are available in Adult and Youth sizing, including both Adult and Youth Goalie cuts for the jerseys.

In 2012/2013 Boathouse partnered with several teams to provide real world feedback, including the New Trier Men’s Team who won the Illinois State High School Ice Hockey State Championships.  “The athletes found our gear to be lighter, quicker to dry and more comfortable to play in than their old-school jerseys,” said Doug Tibbetts, president of Boathouse Sports.

“We are very excited about bringing our custom uniforms, training gear and outerwear to the world of hockey,” said Tibbetts.  “No other team supplier can provide the fully custom branded complement of uniforms, outerwear, training gear as well as fan and supporter gear that we can.”

Boathouse also offers a convenient on-line Team Store model that provides easy web-based ordering while eliminating the need for coaches and managers and provides a simple platform for organizing team and supporter purchases.  “Our on-line Team Store model is an ideal tool for Ice Hockey teams who are tired of complicated, patched-together apparel purchasing,” added Tibbetts.  “We offer one place to design and buy all of your gear and get it to your players and supporters automatically.”

Boathouse Sports creates custom team athletic apparel for elite athletes. Based in the city of Philadelphia since its inception in 1985, where it manufactures over 95 percent of its products, Boathouse has earned an exclusive customer base of schools, universities and teams.
