Blademaster has acquired Battco Manufacturing. Battco is a manufacturer of riveters and related products for the skate industry. Started in the 1960’s by the Batten family, Battco began as a small machine shop in Kitchener, Ontario and was commissioned by Bauer to make the first Battco riveter – the Bauer / Battco 500. The company now promotes the Battco 600 model – one of the most popular units in North America.

“I am pleased to announce that I have sold my company to Blademaster”, said John Batten. “They share the same commitment to quality and company integrity that my customers have come to expect from Battco.”

Blademaster, a division of Guspro Inc. of Chatham, Ontario, will continue to manufacture and market the Battco line of products. “We are pleased to add the Battco line to our offering”, said John Mariconda of Blademaster. “It complements our existing product line and gives us a growth platform for the riveter category – particularly in the International market. We will continue to provide the top-quality Battco riveter and enhance the customer service and support for all former and existing Battco customers.”
