BiPro, a part of Agropur Cooperative, has partnered with Mash Mafia, one of the top weightlifting teams in the U.S. Led by head coach Travis Mash, the team brought 17 competitors to the 2016 USA Weightlifting National Championships in Salt Lake City.

“We wanted to work with BiPro because the quality of the protein is unmatched,” Mash said. “I need to make sure that our athletes are recovering and taking care of their bodies. That way, they can perform at their best.”

Mash Mafia athletes are spread out across the country, but a large portion of them train at two gyms: Mash’s facility in Clemmons, NC and Undisputed Strength & Conditioning in Eagan, MN. One of the co-owners at Undisputed, Vinh Huynh, is also a co-founder and assistant head coach for Mash Mafia Minnesota.

“There’s no junk in BiPro, which is uncommon for protein powders. It’s an actual pure whey protein isolate, compared to these other companies that come up with catchy names and have inferior products,” Huynh said. “That’s why we moved to BiPro. It’s a better product for our athletes.”

In addition to Mash Mafia weightlifters and the athletes at his gym, Mash also works with the University of North Carolina, Wake Forest University, Appalachian State University and Wofford University. Mash is a current world champion in powerlifting and has held the pound-for-pound world record.
