Billabong signed Bode Merrill, winner of multiple Rider of the Year Awards from both Snowboarder Magazine and Transworld Snowboarding, to a three-year extension.

Bode’s movie project last winter, “Reckless Abandon,” landed him Snowboarder Magazine’s Video Part of the Year.

Risto Scott, Billabong’s sales and marketing director, said, “World class athletes have been the nucleus of Billabong’s DNA since 1973. Today, that legacy continues with the multi year resigning of Bode Merrill and I couldn’t be more stoked to have him anchoring our snow program. The last few years Bode’s amplified the definition of being a multi-faceted pro snowboarder which is confirmed through all the awards he’s collected, and I’m fired up that Billabong will continue to be a part of amplifying his legacy in snowboarding!”

“I’m excited to continue another chapter with Billabong in the coming years! Helping to support my snowboarding and develop high quality gear for the elements we all endure and enjoy. Look for the styles, story and some of the best snowboarding to be documented to date in Pepper that I helped to create coming this fall!” commented Merrill”.

“Pepper, The Movie” is produced in conjunction with Snowboarder Magazine.
