Billabong announced the appointment of global merchandising and design expert Mark Weber to the Billabong mens team.

“Mark’s appointment further strengthens our global brand Billabong team. It has been an early priority to shape an enthusiastic and experienced team with both knowledge and experience of our business, and global expertise and credentials. We’re thrilled to have Mark join the team. He is well respected in the industry, has an outstanding track record, and brings the kind of merchant leadership that we have been talking about in our turnaround strategy. In short order, we have assembled a powerhouse team for the Billabong brand”, CEO Neil Fiske said.

“Mark combines passionate advocacy of surfing, skateboarding and the arts, with global expertise across merchandising, design, sales and management, including personal history with the Billabong brand from his time at Hurley.” Mark joins Billabong from RAEN Optics where he was President and a Member of the Board. Prior to RAEN Fiske was with Hurley for 15 years in senior roles in Sales, Global Brand Marketing, Global Commerce and Global Merchandising.

Fiske joins the Billabong Mens team on the 17 th of March based in California. He will report into Global Billabong Brand President, Shannan North. “Mark’s appointment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to have the best possible team in place. His broad experience and expertise will be a great addition to the team and I look forward to working with him to deliver on Billabong’s long term goals” said Shannan.
