Big Rock Sports announces the opening of its newest distribution center in Surrey, British Columbia. More than double the size of the company’s site in nearby Langley, this warehouse dramatically expands Big Rock’s capabilities.
“Due to growing market demand for both the hunting and fishing businesses, we needed a larger, more efficient facility that would allow us to improve our customer service levels in the West,” said Andy Melville, Canada Division President at Big Rock Sports Andy Melville. “The Surrey distribution center significantly improves our inventory position and is the next step in our plans for growth across Canada.”
Since acquiring Inland Pacific in 2011, Big Rock Sports has continued to invest heavily in its Canadian division. From warehouse expansions to people, inventory and systems, the company has financed a strong growth platform. The Surrey distribution center is a key part of this expansion. Built to enhance Big Rock’s product offering and technology platform, the facility’s main purpose is to further upgrade the customer experience.
