Big 5 Sporting Goods, which went private in an early October sale, has closed, or plans to close, two stores each in Arizona and Idaho, and four stores in Colorado, according to local reports.

The affected stores include:

Arizona

  • 714 W Calle Arroyo Sur, Green Valley
  • 41800 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway, Maricopa

Idaho

  • 6762 N. Glenwood Street, Garden City
  • 700 W. Quinn Road, Pocatello

Colorado

  • 5185 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge
  • 10051 E. Iliff Avenue, Aurora
  • 1430 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver
  • 2211 S. College Avenue, Fort Collins

In its second-quarter regulatory filing, Big 5 noted that it closed eight stores in the first half and planned to close seven in the second half. The company operated 414 stores as of June 29.

Big 5 on October 3 completed its merger with a partnership comprising Worldwide Golf and Capitol Hill Group and became a wholly owned subsidiary of the partnership.
