Bicycle Haüs, the cycling boutique, opened its new location at 7113 East 1st Avenue in Scottsdale, AZ on Nov. 19.

Designed by award-winning Arizona architect Jack DeBartolo III, the 6,700-square-foot combines a sleek, modern building with traditional elements including an entire wall made from reclaimed barn wood and stairs repurposed from high-school bleachers. The barn wood and bleachers are from Missoula, Montana, where store co-owners and childhood sweethearts Shasta and Kale Keltz grew up.

“We wanted to make an architectural statement that celebrates the fast-paced sport of cycling, but we also wanted the building to reflect where we came from,” says Shasta Keltz.

“This new building represents who we are on a number of levels; it speaks to our commitment, our roots and our
passion for the sport,” adds Kale Keltz.

More than twice the size as their prior Scottsdale location, the Keltzs’ new store was built using a solar-ready,
sustainable design that has a day-lit interior.

Founded in 2004, Bicycle Haüs has gained a loyal following among cycling enthusiasts by offering brands that cannot be found elsewhere in the valley, such as Rapha, ASSOS, Pinarello and Colnago. in a European-inspired atmosphere where customers can relax over a cup of espresso and talk about anything on wheels. The new store includes a
covered outdoor space where cyclists can gather for rides and events as well as showers and lockers for staff,
riders, and commuters.

“We are fortunate to have customers from all over the country who we consider family, who love and respect the sport as much as we do. They look to us to help them take their passion to the next level,” says Kale Keltz.
