Berghaus appointed Alexis Baden as U.S. marketing manager while forming a partnership with Method Outdoor Collective, an independent sales agency based in Burlington, VT.

Baden, who formerly worked for Dakine and Aether Apparel, “will be responsible for further shaping the brand’s consumer narrative, brand identity and campaign execution across the region,” according to Berghaus.

“The Berghaus brand and story is poised to resonate with U.S. consumers, and I’m really excited to help shape and share that story,” said Baden.

Method Outdoor Collective’s team includes Founder Sasha Dietschi-Cooper, who has worked with Burton Snowboards, Prana, Anon Optics, and Bivo, and Beth Steele, who has worked with Burton Snowboards, Anon Optics, Peppermint Cycling, and Seniq. Each has over 20 years of experience working in the outdoor space.

“Berghaus has the heritage and technical credentials to earn an enduring position in the highly competitive U.S. outdoor apparel and equipment marketplace,” said Dietschi-Cooper. “We’re excited to introduce Berghaus to specialty retailers across the country.”

The hires come as Berghaus, owned by Pentland Brands, entered the U.S. market last year and has secured distribution at REI and several independents.

“A year into our U.S. debut, we’re stoked that Berghaus is gaining steam in North America, and our investments in our team and partnerships are all designed to create a strong foundation for years to come,” said Shane Wallace, senior vice president of portfolio brands at Pentland Brands. “From building out our internal team to partnering with best-in-class sales and marketing professionals, every move we’re making is in the service of our long-term vision for Berghaus in this market.”
