Benelli USA promoted George Thompson and JP Fischer to director positions within the company, effective immediately.

In his new role as Director of Product Management, Thompson will be responsible for leading Benelli USA’s product development and execution with the United States to ensure the company maintains its position as a product leader in existing and future markets for the Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger, Uberti USA and Stoeger Airguns brands. In addition, Thompson will maintain direct responsibility over the product development for the Benelli brand.

Thompson has been with Benelli USA for 11 years, most recently serving as senior product manager for the Benelli brand. Thompson began his tenure with the company in customer service and has also served as product manager for the Uberti USA and Stoeger Airguns brands.

“George’s experience as a hunter, his ability to understand market needs and trends, as well as the competitive landscape of the industry, has seen him continually bring increased success to the iconic Benelli brand,” said Benelli USA General Manager Tom DeBolt. “We know that with his leadership in this position those results will translate to all of the Benelli USA brands, elevating them to even higher levels.”

As the Director of Sales and Channel Management, Fischer will lead Benelli USA’s sales and channel-management initiatives within the United States for the Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger, Uberti USA and Stoeger Airguns brands. Utilizing a network of shooting sports dealers, national accounts and conservation groups, Fischer will help the Benelli USA brands further expand their positions as product leaders in existing and emerging markets.

Fischer joined Benelli USA in 2014 as brand manager for the Uberti USA brand and, most recently, served as the independent channel sales and marketing manager. Prior to joining Benelli USA, Fischer spent the previous decade working in numerous leadership roles within the outdoor industry.

“The success JP has brought to Benelli USA since stepping into his role as the Independent Channel Sales and Marketing Manager makes him ideal for his new position as Director for our Sales and Channel Management team,” DeBolt said. “JP has been successful in every role he has played within our company and with his leadership I know our sales force will continue to grow our brands across the channels we serve.”
