Bass Pro Shops will locate the company’s seventh Texas store in Round Rock near Austin. The 104,000-square-foot store will be located at I-35 between County Road 111 and east Chandler Road.  It will feature the  popular Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill.

“We are excited to announce our seventh store in Texas at this premier site and for the opportunity to be a part of this great community,” said Johnny Morris, founder of Bass Pro Shops.  “It’s a highly visible location and easy to get to. We look forward to serving the many area sportsmen and women as well as those who visit Austin each year.  They can expect Bass Pro Shops’ great selection, low prices and friendly, expert service.”

The area boasts a population of 1.9 million people and in the last 10 years, it has seen an incredible 39 percent growth rate within a 50-mile radius.  In fact, Round Rock was ranked the second fastest growing city- according to the U.S. Census Bureau in 2012, and the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos market was named in “America’s 20 Fastest Growing Cities” by Forbes in 2013.  Texas itself ranks number one in the number of hunters and is second only to Florida in the number of anglers according to the 2013 Sportsmen Economic Impact for Texas. http://www.sportsmenslink.org/uploads/page/Texas-Factsheet.pdf.

The Round Rock Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World will feature the popular Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill. This nautical-themed center is located within the store and features a unique design geared for family fun and dining. There will be 12 lanes, offering customers the chance to bowl ‘in the ocean.’ Casual family dining will be available in the Grill where customers can dine on a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and burgers.
