Bass Pro Shops plans to host a grand opening for its 70,000-square-foot Outpost store in Fort Smith, AK, its third store in the state, running from April 29 through May 2.
A highlight of the store is a 19,000-gallon aquarium inspired by an Ozarks cave environment, featuring a 14-pound largemouth bass caught in DeGray Lake and donated by the angler, as well as a 40-pound blue catfish. Fish for the tank were also sourced from longstanding private fish farms, angler donations and partnerships with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
Bass Pro has nearly 200 stores in operation across its Bass Pro and Cabela’s banners.
