Barefooters, the comfort shoe company, is teaming up with C.C. Sabathia’s The PitCCh In Foundation in support of Amber Sabathia and her team running the 2014 NYC Marathon. Barefooters shoes are made of CorksiLite, a cork and silicone compound that is both earth and vegan friendly, and includes the patented Oooaaahs reflexology massage pods.

Barefooters will be donating a portion of proceeds from the sales of its shoes on Oct. 30th – Oct. 31st at the 2014 NYC Marathon Expo to spread the mission to enrich the lives of inner city youth.

“We are proud to support this organization in their efforts to educate and empower inner city youth, especially since one in five kids live in poverty in this great city of New York,” says David Van Klaveren, president and co-founder of Barefooters. “We are inspired to support the Foundation’s goals to help young people raise their confidence through educational and athletic activities and providing a platform that enables inner city youth to realize their dreams.”

After the marathon on Nov. 2, Barefooters encourages marathoners, their family and friends to walk the 27th Mile to the Recovery Bar at McHales Bar and Grill located at 251 W. 51st Street, New York, New York for drink specials, prizes and a place to recover tired feet with the Company’s nouveau comfort shoe.

“Barefooters were designed to get your feet moving naturally again – and strong, flexible feet are healthy feet,” says David Van Klaveren. “Our unique material and patented insole will help people Feel Great about their feet, especially after running an iconic marathon.”
