Jones Apparel said Richard Dickson has been hired from Mattel, where he revitalized the Barbie brand, to be president and CEO of branded businesses. President and CEO, Wesley Card, will lose the president's title and remain CEO.

Before Mattel, Dickson was an executive at Bloomingdale's and Estee Lauder Cos.

In addition to operating retail stores, Jones Apparel designs, markets and wholesales apparel, footwear and accessories. Its brands include Jones New York, Nine West, Anne Klein, Gloria Vanderbilt, Kasper, Bandolino, Easy Spirit, Evan-Picone and others.
