Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC) appointed five new members to its board of directors to help guide and grow the organization. The new eight-member board includes some of the most influential names in the action sports industry including two B4BC co-founders and an original board member, company founders, marketing executives, professional athletes and breast cancer survivors, who all have tremendous experience and contacts to help take the organization to the next level. The organization is also in the process of developing an “athlete advisory team” of professional athletes who will also help build awareness and support for the brand.

“The foundation would not be making the strides we are today without the tireless efforts of our co-founders Lisa and Tina,” states B4BC Executive Director Justine Chiara. “The addition of new members will bring fresh perspective to B4BC as well as breadth and depth for planning for the future. It's a great honor to have each of them on board as well as industry legacy Brad Steward chairing the board. We look forward to continued growth to our educational program and industry support.”

Original board members who continue to serve a leadership role include:

Brad Steward – Founder / Creative Director, Bonfire Snowboarding Company

Lisa and her family lost her mother to breast cancer after a 10-year battle in the spring of 2004.

Tina Basich – B4BC Co-Founder / Professional Snowboarder
