Avant Enterprises, the Industry, CA-based manufacturer of Aventon, 6KU and Populo bike brands, entered into the e-bike category with a six-model line that will be sold under the Populo brand.
Avant CEO JW Zhang said, “We are launching this line to lower the barrier of entry for customers wanting alternative commuting solutions, at an affordable price.”
The Populo Sport will have a suggested retail price of $999.
The Populo e-bike line will be available for prospective dealers to view and test ride at the 2016 Interbike Trade Show.
“We are very excited to launch our product line at Interbike 2016. I highly encourage attendees to visit the demo circuit for a test ride,” said National Sales Manager Robert Dennis. The Populo Sport will begin shipping to dealers in October; other models will ship starting in December of 2016.
