Constantly evolving to meet the new challenges of the wintersports business, Atomic Ski now plans to establish the industry's first-ever corporate Small Business Unit.

Designed to provide Atomic retail partners in the New York and Mid-Atlantic regions with the support needed to grow and be profitable in the ever-changing marketplace, the four-person Atomic SBU team puts more manpower in the region to ensure better responsiveness to retailer needs.

Atomic's SBU will be comprised of a Regional Business Director, two Territory Business Managers and a Territory Support Specialist, all of whom will be corporate Atomic employees based in the region.


Atomic's current in-house sales manager, John Esterbrook, will lead the SBU as Regional Business Director. An industry veteran who has served Atomic both in-house and out in the field, Esterbrook brings a unique understanding of all aspects of the ski business. Based in Hartford, CT, Esterbrook will report directly to the Vice President of Sales, Bill Bendl.

Assisting Esterbrook will be Atomic's SBU field staff – Shawn Hickman, Taras Popel and Jason Shreck – a multi-faceted team that will focus on providing stronger staff training, better inventory management, more targeted regional marketing and expanded sell-through support.

Beyond the regional level, Atomic is also in the process of recruiting a new National Sales Director to focus on Atomic's retail support network across the United States.
