Adventure Technology, the paddle brand owned by Confluence Watersports, disclosed its 2011 national sponsorships and paddle donations.


Despite big performance, AT is still a specialized brand, said Chris Pageau, general manager of accessories for Confluence Watersports, parent company to Adventure Technology. As a smaller brand, were thrilled to reach our goals of upping our sponsorship dollars and donations. AT has a solid history of supporting athletes and local events, and our commitment to grassroots support remains unchanged. For 2011, were proud to announce AT sponsorship of wide-reaching national events as well.


Adventure Technology Sponsorships for 2011:



  • Teva Mountain Games (June 2-5, 2011). Marking its tenth year, the Teva Mountain Games is the nations largest celebration of adventure sports, art and mountain culture. Four kayaking events at this years TMG meant boaters from Class II competency to pro had a chance to compete. Several Team Dagger and Wave Sport athletes who competed in the games chose to paddle AT.
  • American Whitewater. AT is a Wave Level Sponsor for 2011. Not only is AT supporting the organization, but also we are donating a variety of paddles to American Whitewater fundraisers. AT will share booth space with Dagger at Deerfield River Fest (July 30, 2011, in Charlemont, Mass.) and Gauley Fest (Sept. 16-18, 2011, in Summersville, W.Va.). Stop by for raffles, paddle fittings and to hang with the athletes.
  • Girls at Play. Founded by Team Dagger athlete Anna Levesque, Girls at Play encourages women of all ages to get out on the water. Through kayaking, yoga and camaraderie, Girls at Play is a positive force for movement. 
  • Ellesmere Expedition (May-August, 2011) Outdoor adventurers Jon Turk and Erick Boomer are several hundred miles into the first-ever circumnavigation of Ellesmere Island, one of the nearest islands to the North Pole. The expedition, which combines kayaking, skiing and snow kiting, is expected to wrap up in August with a 500 mile kayaking leg. AT is proud to support this momentous undertaking by supplying the men with AT2 Superlight paddles.
  • KayakBassFishing.com. AT is supporting KayakBassFishing.coms Wilderness Systems Challenge Series by providing prize paddles for challenge winners. The series is designed to promote the sport of kayak fishing and also raise awareness and funds for Heroes on the Water (HOW). HOW is an organization that uses kayak fishing and kayaking as therapy for injured service members. 
  • Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic (April 15-16, 2011) AT awarded placing winners of the 4th annual charity fishing tournament in Wakulla County, FL with AT paddles. In addition to promoting the growing sport of kayak fishing, proceeds from the event went to The Wakulla County Senior Services Center, Meals on Wheels program. Wilderness Systems Pro Staff member, Jeff Suber, spearheaded the event.
