Arklyz, the Swiss parent of The Athlete’s Foot, has completed its acquisition of Gabor Shoes, a German brand known for its women’s shoes designed in Germany and handcrafted in Europe.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal was first announced in October.

“Gabor is a brand with heart, heritage and an incredibly strong connection to its customers. We are proud to welcome Gabor to Arklyz and are excited to work closely with the Gabor team to build on its solid foundation and unlock long-term, sustainable growth while preserving everything that makes Gabor special,” said Param Singh, owner and CEO of Arklyz, which also owns Intersocks; has licensing deals for socks, baselayers and accessories with Salomon, Head and Nordica; as well as distribution agreements for Crocs, Hunter, Implus, Spenco and Strengthtape.

According to a company statement, Gabor will continue to operate under its existing brand, leadership team and operational structure. Gabor is also expected to benefit from enhanced international capabilities, improved digital experiences and increased operational support.

“This is an important milestone for Gabor,” stated company CEO Stefan Bloechinger. “With Arklyz as our new partner, we are well-positioned to continue growing the brand in a stable and forward-looking way. Our focus remains on our customers, our partners, and our employees and on delivering the quality and comfort that define Gabor.”
