Amerex Group has appointed Adam Berkman, chief financial officer. Mr. Berkman joins Amerex Group from Accruent Inc., a contract management software company that he co-founded, that counts over 100 of the Fortune 1000 companies as clients. He will report to Amerex Group Chief Executive Officer, Glenn Palmer.

Additionally, Amerex has hired Ross H. Amarante as its new Director of MIS. Mr. Amarante, joins the company having served as Director for RSM McGladrey, Inc., a subsidiary of H&R Block from 2001 to present. He will report to Adam Berkman.

The company also recognized the addition of Kristy Eko, as sales executive in the Amerex Kids Group. She will report to Kids’s Group vice presidents John Nitti and Bill McLoone, on the London Fog, Weather Tamer, Gerry , Osh Kosh B’Gosh, Mambosok, Bombshell and Mudd brands.

Amerex Group under the direction of its CEO, Glenn Palmer has retooled its technology and communications platforms to more effectively and efficiently meet the demands of its retail customers. With the addition of Adam Berkman and Ross Amarante, he has completed plans to strengthen the company’s senior level executive team with which to drive the future growth of the firm.

Adam Berkman, age 37, is a CPA with a strong orientation in strategy, operations, finance and business development. His extensive experience in apparel importing and manufacturing, along with his proven track record in developing and implementing fiscal strategies to grow and restructure businesses, will enable Amerex Group to achieve new fiscal efficiencies as it aggressively extends its penetration of the outerwear market.

Ross H. Amarante, age 41, will oversee the entire MIS team with oversight for all information technology including network infrastructure and software applications. He joins the company with 18 years of apparel and IT experience including specific assignments in implementing ERP, PDM, accounting solutions as well as various Microsoft server solutions. He replaces Ken MacFarlane, who will serve in the new capacity of software applications manager, responsible for all ERP software applications including PKMS, JD Edwards, EDI and Blue Cherry.

Kristy Eko, age 35, was previously an independent sales representative for Dickies Girl and Polo Jeans. Prior to that she spent almost 12 years as a buyer and DMM (division merchandise manager) in Juniors and Kids at Nordstrom.
