Amer Sports has tapped Carrie Ask, a veteran of Helly Hansen, Tailored Brands, Levi’s, and Nike, as president of the Wilson brand. The U.S. Navy veteran brings over 10 years of experience in the active lifestyle and apparel industries to the parent of the Wilson, Arc’teryx and Salomon brands.

“Carrie is a proven brand leader and C-suite executive with very strong prior experience, including Helly Hansen, Levi’s, and Nike,” offered CEO James Zheng in a statement accompanying the company’s fourth quarter earnings release.

Most recently, Ask served as CEO of Helly Hansen, a role she held for nearly four years. Prior to that, she was chief customer officer at Tailored Brands, Inc., EVP and president of global retail at Levi Strauss & Co. and served nearly four years in senior retail and direct-to-consumer roles at Nike, Inc., most recently as VP/GM of Nike Stores North America.

Prior roles included working at Petco, Target, and BCNF, as well as an early five-year run at McKinsey & Co.

Ask has a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA in Strategy and Operations from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
