Chris Considine, who has been serving as president of the Team Sports division for Amer Sports, gets the nod as president of the re-merged Wilson Sporting Goods Company.
In April 2003, Wilson had been broken into two operating units servicing its Team Sports business and Racquet Sports and Golf businesses, a move that also saw the departure of former Wilson president, Jim Baugh. Mr. Considine continued in his previous role running the Team Sports business, but reported directly to Amer Sports president and CEO, Roger Talermo, while the Racquet Sports and Golf businesses were moved under Steve Millea, Wilson’s former VP for international operations.

Mr. Millea will now move to Asia to head up the Amer Sports Sourcing Initiative, which will see all Wilson, Atomic, Precor, Suunto, and Salomon sourcing functions merged under a single group. Millea has been with Wilson for over 21 years. In addition to his last two roles, Steve was also VP and CFO of Wilson and the GM for Wilson Asia Pacific.

Considine will also be responsible for Amer Sports North American Services organizations, which includes IT, Legal, Tax, and Logistics for all brands.
