8AM Golf, the parent of True Spec Golf, Miura Golf and other golf businesses, has acquired a “significant equity stake” in golf footwear upstart Payntr Golf, marking the company’s first investment in the apparel and footwear space.

Terms were not disclosed.

Other businesses owned by 8AM Golf include golf.com, Golf Magazine, Fairway Jockey, Chirp Golf, Club Conex, 3’s Greenville, Bounty Club, T-Squared Social, The Bridges Cup, 8AM Invitational, The Larry, and 8AM Travel.

In 2018, Howard Milstein, chairman and founder of 8AM Golf, began the business as a holding company to manage his diverse portfolio of golf-related businesses. In 2020, singer and actor Justin Timberlake joined 8AM Golf as an investor and partner and now leads creative initiatives across its portfolio.

Launched in 2021, Payntr Golf has established a presence across green-grass, direct-to-consumer and big-box retail channels, including PGA Tour Superstore, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy. The brand’s PGA Tour ambassador roster includes Jason Day, who also holds an equity stake in Payntr Golf, along with Min Woo Lee, Sam Burns and Isaiah Salinda.

Payntr Golf expects 8AM Golf to support its next growth phase, leveraging the platform’s network across media, equipment, instruction, fitting, and experiential golf to amplify brand awareness, tour presence and global distribution.
