Dynafit has partnered with Alpenglow Sports of Tahoe City, CA to open North America’s third Dynafit Test Center. The new Dynafit Test Center is aimed at bridging the gap between education, demonstration, and recreation.

“For the avid backcountry skier or first timer the Alpenglow Test Center offers a wide variety demos, product info, and the latest snow conditions,” states 34-year-old Owner Brendan Madigan. “We felt becoming a Dynafit Test Center would add a valuable resource to our growing backcountry community, as well as offer a platform to share the growing buzz over the leading brand in human powered skiing. Like Dynafit, we live and breathe backcountry skiing. In our eyes it was only logical to pair up with the global leaders in all things backcountry.”

Madigan started working at Alpenglow Sports in 2003 and has managed the store since 2007. He will succeed Donald Fyfe, who started Alpenglow 32 years ago. Madigan calls his ownership of Alpenglow a “dream come true.” When your job is to sell fun, dawn patrol 5-6k before work and share the stoke with fellow backcountry enthusiasts, life is good.”

“With the explosion of the new Vulcan ski boot collection and our ever increasing sales in the North American market, we felt it important to educate and service our customers in the best possible manner,” said Jim Lamancusa director of sales and marketing, for Salewa North America and the Dynafit / Pomoca brands. “The new Alpenglow Test Center will deliver that dedication to customer service and our core California users.”

Dynafit is hopeful that it’s new Test Center will help break down the barriers surrounding backcountry skiing, and act as stepping stone to Dynafit’s world-class backcountry ski gear.
