Allied Feather & Down teamed up with the environmental advocacy group Protect Our Winters (POW) to fight global climate change and keep winters cold and snowy.

Allied, a producer of down and feather insulation, will be offering annual support and donating 1 percent of the total sales from its HyperDry water-resistant down to POW, starting immediately.

The brand also now produces 100 percent of its water-resistant down without the use of Fluorocarbons (FCs).

“Other conservation organizations are more focused on protecting space. POW is actively engaged in changing consciousness, and this is what I think is so important. It speaks to Allied’s brand ethos, throughout all of our platforms, to help change the way people see and interact with an ingredient like down,” said Allied President Daniel Uretsky. “This partnership is really about taking our winters back. Working together, we can really make a difference.”

Torrey Udall, POW’s Manager of Development and Operations, said, “The opportunity to head into the cold should be a guarantee extended to all future generations. Allied and its leadership have been a material part of the solution on climate and we are proud to have them join POW as a partner. This goes double for our industry.”

Along with financial support, Allied will work with POW through a variety of platforms to help get their shared message out to the public.

“With all the work we do and the partners we have, Allied is in a unique position to leverage our partnership with POW into multi-brand messaging, speaking out for the planet ” said Creative Director Matthew Betcher. “Together we will work with our multitude of partner brands to open larger audiences to engaging social-, print- and event-driven content to try to change legislation, and rethink how conservation works in the 21st century and beyond.”
