Colorado-based youth lifestyle brand Airwalk announced the return of skateboarding legend Mike Vallely (Mike V.) to the brand's team roster. He originally rode for Airwalk in 1988 and returns to the family more than 20 years later.
“We couldn't be more excited to have Mike V. back on the roster,” said Bruce Pettet, President and CEO of Collective Licensing International (CLI), which owns and manages the Airwalk brand. “Not only is Mike a true pioneer and an icon in the skate world, but his talent is undeniable. We look forward to collaborating with him throughout our silver anniversary year.”
Under the new partnership, Mike V. will endorse Airwalk footwear and help design limited- edition products for the brand's 25th anniversary footwear collection.
“Airwalk was one of the original players on the skate scene, helping to mold the industry in to what it is today,” Vallely said. “Partnering with the brand not only makes sense, but it also brings back a flood of timeless memories for me. I look forward to adding my personal touch to some classic Airwalk shoes.”
