Beginning in fall 2011, Adidas will debut its worldwide brand in the outdoor market with a newly developed repertoire of footwear, apparel and accessories they feel is pertinent to the U.S. market. The offerings will include a range of products featuring the company’s recent TERREX concept which debuted in Europe in 2009. The special collection will be made available to the public via outdoor specialty retailers, as well as the brand’s own sport performance stores beginning in fall 2011.


Working in collaboration with the German manufacturer will be the brands long-time partner Agron Inc. who will act as the official and exclusive distributor for Adidas outdoor products in the U.S. In a statement released by Rolf Reinschmidt, SVP of Adidas Global Outdoor, “Agron’s proven track record in excellent distribution and customer service combined with its vertical outdoor competence makes this partnership a win-win situation. Together, we are looking forward to succeeding in the U.S. outdoor market.”


In preparation for the fall, Adidas plans to preview the collection at the January 2011 Outdoor Retailer Show, allowing retail partners access to the newly developed product line. “Over the last couple of seasons, we have now developed innovative products that offer lightness, perfect fit and freedom of movement to best address athletes’ needs in the outdoors,” Reinschmidt concluded.
