In support of its entry into the U.S. outdoor market, adidas Outdoor appointed three sales agencies on the eastern seaboard. East Coast Action Sports will handle the mid-atlantic, Evolve Sales & Associates will cover the southeast and Hawk Associates will manage the northeast.
Veteran representative John Phaneuf of East Coast Action Sports, located in Southbury, Conn., brings a background of high-tech apparel and footwear to adidas Outdoor. “The success of this brand in Europe gives me great confidence as I introduce it to my retailers,” said Phaneuf.
Brad Decker and Bryan Sheridan joined forces creating a new four-person agency now called Evolve Sales & Associates, located in Norfolk, Virginia. “We felt the 10-state southeast territory required a joint effort to accomplish the task,” said Decker. Decker and Sheridan are joined by Ryan Genua and Chris Sadler. All four have been active in outdoor, ski and sporting goods.
Hawk Associates, located in York, Maine, is a three-person group with a proven track record with the outdoor, footwear, run, bike, and sporting goods channels of distribution. Doug Hawkins, Matt Ronca, and Jennifer Bresnahan comprise the agency. “We are a good match for the athletic style of the adidas Outdoor products,” said founder Doug Hawkins.
adidas will debut its line of footwear, apparel and accessories to the U.S. outdoor market at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market this January with The collection will be available in the U.S. at selected Outdoor specialty retailers starting fall 2011.
