Adidas extended its deal with Middlesbrough Football Club. Adidas has sponsored the England Premier League club since 2009.

Middlesbrough, Chief Executive Officer Neil Bausor, said: “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with adidas and are looking forward to working together in the Premier League.”

Gavin Thomson, adidas Managing Director, North Europe, added: “We are proud of the progress made by the club as they return to the top flight. We are excited by the prospect of continuing to grow the partnership as the club move into that next chapter.”

Details of the extended deal were not disclosed but the club are likely to benefit from improved terms to reflect their promotion to the Premier League. Middlesbrough finished second in the Sky Bet Championship, English soccer’s second tier, in 2015/16, taking an automatic promotion place.
