The Supervisory Board of Adidas AG has extended Harm Ohlmeyers appointment as chief financial officer for another three years until the beginning of 2028. Adidas also announced that Arthur Hoeld would replace Roland Auschel with responsibility for global sales and the departure of Brian Grevy, who was responsible for global brands.

Ohlmeyer has been an Adidas AG executive board member since March 2017 and the company’s CFO since May 2017.

“I have known Harm for many years. We even worked together at Adidas in the ’90s,” said Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden. “He brings exactly the knowledge, experience and attitude we need to turn things around. I ook forward to partnering with him and making Adidas the best sports brand in the world once again.”

At the same time, Adidas’ supervisory board appointed Arthur Hoeld as an executive board member responsible for global sales effective April 1. Hoeld has been with Adidas for 25 years, most recently as managing director of its EMEA region since 2018. He succeeds Auschel, who decided to step down from his role after 33 years with Adidas, including 10 years as an executive board member.

“On behalf of the entire supervisory board, I would like to congratulate Roland Auschel on his career at our company and thank him for his passion, commitment and leadership throughout the past 33 years. Over three decades, Roland celebrated many successes and has played an increasingly important role for the development of Adidas,” said Thomas Rabe, chairman of the supervisory board of Adidas AG. “At the same time, we are pleased that with Arthur, we can appoint an excellent internal candidate to the executive board. With his commercial experience and excellent brand track record, he brings extensive knowledge about our business, our brand and our products to his new role on our executive board.”

Brian Grevy, an executive board member of Adidas AG responsible for global brands, informed Adidas AG’s supervisory board that he would step down from the executive board and leave the company. In a mutual agreement, the supervisory board approved the termination of his appointment as an executive board member as of March 31, 2023. Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden will assume responsibility for global brands. In this role, Gulden will lead Adidas’ product and marketing.

Thomas Rabe thanked Grevy for his contributions during his years of service with the company. Grevy joined Adidas in 1998 and held leadership positions of increasing responsibility on a local, regional and global level before leaving the company in 2016. At the beginning of 2020, Grevy returned to Adidas as an executive board member for global brands.

Effective April 1, the company’s new executive board will include Bjørn Gulden, CEO and global brands; Arthur Hoeld, global sales; Harm Ohlmeyer, CFO; Amanda Rajkumar, global human resources, people and culture; and Martin Shankland, global operations.
