Adidas has extended its Boost technology to the baseball diamond with the Energy Boost Icon cleat. This marks the first time an Adidas non-running shoe has featured Boost cushioning technology.

“Everything we do at adidas is about making athletes better,” said Aaron Kahn, director of baseball for adidas. “adidas’ innovative Boost technology has revolutionized the running world and we are proud to now offer the same cushioning and energy return to baseball. Any player who spends hours a day on hard dirt in metal spikes will be amazed by what ‘9th inning energy’ feels like.”

University of Louisville and UC Irvine will debut the adidas Energy Boost baseball cleat at the College World Series. The cleat is available via Eastbay.com and this month on adidas.com for $150.
