David Baxter, VP, head of sport performance and sports licensed division at Adidas America,
has decided to leave the company and pursue other interests, according to an internal memo from the company.

Adidas's memo read, “We regret to inform you that David Baxter, VP, Head of Sport Performance and Sports Licensed Division has decided to leave the company and pursue other interests. David joined the adidas Group in 1998 and has held several positions of increasing responsibility during his time with the organisation. We would like to thank David for his many contributions to the adidas Group, his passion for sport and desire to win. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

It was signed by Mark King, president North America, and Bill Holmes, SVP, Head of HR North America.

Baxter led the North American marketing strategy for all sport performance categories including basketball, football, running, soccer, training and tennis. Baxter assumed this role in April 2010.  He joined Reebok in March 2001 managing various businesses including OnField, Reebok Apparel and the Sports Licensed Division.
