adidas America and the University of Louisville have reached a multi-year sports marketing partnership. This multi-year sports marketing partnership is an extension of the previous agreement that began in 1998. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“Everyone at adidas is very excited about the unlimited possibilities in partnering with the University of Louisville,” stated John Kawaja, Director of Marketing for adidas America. “The extension of our partnership with Louisville will further strengthen our outstanding group of college and university partnerships.”

Louisville is part of a select group of adidas partnerships already in place: Arizona State University, University of Notre Dame, University of Tennessee, University of Nebraska and University of Wisconsin. These adidas schools make up a group of very successful athletic programs.

“adidas has found that with partnerships such as this one with the University of Louisville both parties involved understand all the intangible aspects that make this type of relationship mutually beneficial,” stated Kawaja. “adidas has developed a great partnership model that enables us to maintain a group of marketing partners to which we can provide excellent service.”

“We are pleased to continue and enhance our fantastic relationship with adidas,” said Tom Jurich, U of L Director of Athletics. “We couldnt be happier with our association over the last five years. We continue to strive to be among the nation’s top comprehensive university athletic programs and our association with adidas select institutions provides another indication that we are continuing our upward movement.”
