Adidas again defended itself against complaints against its new Jabulani soccer ball and its performance at the World Cup. Adidas' Global PR Manager Erik Van Leeuwen noted that FIFA has said that the new ball is tested and proven and
there have been no complaints.

“People have to adapt themselves to it,” Van Leeuwen said
in an interview with Bloomberg News. “It's nothing to do
with the Jabulani.”

The “Jabulani” model is the center of discussion after England
goalkeeper Robert Green's gaffe gifted the U.S. a 1-1 tie in the team's
World Cup match. Goalkeepers said the 440-gram Jabulani is unsteady and
unpredictable in the air.

At the same time, others are blaming the low scores at the World Cup on
the ball.
