Austin Canoe & Kayak (ACK) has hired back its former Director of Marketing, Roland Jimenez, as Vice President of Marketing.

Jimenez will be responsible for leading ACK’s marketing, creative, and communications strategies with a focus on building the ACK brand to its fullest potential.

“Roland was vital in helping us propel our marketing efforts in the early days,” states Peter Messana, CEO.  “Bringing him back not only helps us realign our position in the market, but will also reinvigorate our brand and what it represents today.”

Jimenez is no stranger to the paddlesports and marketing industries. Prior to his first three-year stint at ACK, he owned and operated a kayak retail shop based out of Cedar Park, Texas and served as Director of Marketing, Brand Management and Creative Services for a variety of companies within various industries.

“I am ecstatic that Roland has decided to rejoin the ACK team,” said Adam Olson, ACK's Vice President of Operations. “Roland’s passion and expertise coupled with the support of an already outstanding marketing team is the perfect recipe to drive ACK’s brand to the next level.”

With Roland rejoining the team, Adam Olson has been appointed Vice President of Operations encompassing all physical store and Internet operations. Prior to Jimenez's arrival, Olson was responsible for Internet Operations solely and served as interim Vice President of Marketing.
