Uberti, the importer of Italian-made A. Uberti firearms, changed its name to Uberti USA.

The name change, effective immediately, is to clarify for American gun buyers the distinction between Uberti products sold by the company from other Uberti-made firearms marketed in the United States by competing brands.

“Only firearms sold by Uberti USA through its network of authorized retailers come with a class-leading five-year warranty. Uberti-made products marketed by other replica firearm brands do not,” said Tom DeBolt, general manager of Benelli USA, the parent company for Uberti USA. “American gun buyers should know when they buy from Uberti USA, they are investing in a rich history of authentic, true-to-the-original firearms built by a company that revolutionized replica gun building and stands behind their work with a strong warranty.”

Logos on gun boxes and promotional materials will also be changed to reflect the new Uberti USA name.

Gunmaker Aldo Uberti began making replicas of Civil War-era cap-and-ball revolvers in 1959. He founded A. Uberti S.R.L. in the village of Gardone Val Trompia in the Italian Alps, slowly adding more iconic Old West firearms to his company’s product offerings as the expertise of his craftsmen expanded.

Uberti USA firearms are detailed replicas, with many models representing improvements over the originals thanks to the advancements in materials and the use of modern machinery.
