The R.L. Winston Rod Company hired Jay Beebe as sales manager while Tyson Webb takes on the role of Northern Rockies sales representative, covering Montana and Idaho.

R.L. Winston Rod Co., located in Twin Bridges, MT, makes fly rods and sunglasses under the Winston name and Bauer fly reels.

“We are very happy to announce Jay and Ty joining the Winston and Bauer teams,” said Andy Wunsch, general manager. “Both bring invaluable experience in the fly fishing industry and reaffirms our commitment to supporting our fly shops and loyal customers around the world. With Winston asap availability at 95% and our repair turnaround time now less than 40 days on average, the addition of both Jay and Ty will only continue to add to our incredible momentum.”

Beebe has over a decade of industry experience from brands such as Far Bank Enterprises and most recently Shimano (G-Loomis). Before transitioning to the manufacturing side in the fly-fishing industry, he worked as a guide in Northern California while attending the University of Nevada.

“It’s an honor to be part of the Winston team that has brought innovation and craftsmanship for almost 100 years to anglers around the world,” said Beebe. “I’m excited to be part of this heritage brand and contribute to the next 100 years of putting smiles on anglers’ faces no matter where they choose to cast their fly.”

Webb began his fly fishing career at Bob Marriott’s Fly Fishing Store and has been sales representative for Raging River Sales for nearly eight years.

Previous Northern Rockies Representative, Eric Neufeld of Raging River Sales, has downsized his territory and continues to represent Winston and Bauer in the Northwest region, including Alaska, Washington, and Oregon.

“I’ve spent over 20 years in the fly fishing industry, and the Northern Rockies have been home for most of it,” said Webb. “Repping fly rods with this much history and soul, like Winston rods and Bauer reels, is something I’m truly fired up about. They’re built right here in Montana by people who live and breathe fly fishing, and it shows every time you put them in a customer’s hands.”
