Scandinavian luggage and bag brand Db Journey has hired Cecilia Ekroth as Global VP of Sales while announcing several strategic appointments across regions, including appointing Waypoint Outdoor to manage wholesale channels in the U.S. and Canada.

Ekroth, based in the company’s Stockholm office, brings extensive experience from the global fashion and lifestyle industry, including over a decade working in executive commercial roles at Acne Studios.

“We are excited to welcome Cecilia on board,” said company CEO Richard Collier. “She brings strong expertise in managing marketplaces across Europe, the U.S. and Asia, and will be a fantastic leader for our talented sales professionals around the world.”

As Db Journey continues to scale globally, the brand is also investing across key regions.

  • In the DACH region, Db will bring operations in-house, establishing a dedicated sales team based in Munich’s MOC Centre. Sven Perleth joins as head of DACH, supported by Alexander Guenther in Northern Germany and Ole Pavel in Switzerland.
  • In Scandinavia, the company has appointed Stine Maseidvåg as head of Scandinavia to strengthen the brand’s presence in its home market.

“Db sees a significant opportunity in the DACH region and across our global markets,” Collier added. We’ve built a passionate team of bag and luggage enthusiasts who will help us grow our footprint across premium sports and lifestyle retail partners.”

In December 2024, LVMH Luxury Ventures, LVMH’s luxury fund, took a minority stake in Db, formerly known as Dochebags.
