Marin Bikes announced that its fourth quarter sales surged 32% in 2003. Additionally, January 2004 was the strongest January ever in the company's 18-year history.

Much of the boost can be attributed to the tremendous expansion of Marin's
Canadian business. With continued growth anticipated, the company has hired
additional internal and external sales representatives to handle the 2004
sales season.

“With the expansion of our business in North America as well as abroad, we
are now seeing the rewards of our hard work,” said Steve Glazer, sales
manager of Marin Bikes. “Recent additions to our staff will insure that
retailers and consumers receive the best product and customer service
possible.”

Marin recently hired Peter Black as an inside sales representative covering
the Mid-Atlantic, Rocky Mountains and Southeastern states. Black brings over
ten years of sales experience to the position. Prior to Marin, Black managed
Avenue Cyclery Shop in San Francisco and their affiliated store, Cyco SF.

Jason Faircloth, another new addition to the internal sales team, will work
with the Pacific Northwest and Midwest territories. Most recently Faircloth
was responsible for international sales for Wilderness Trail Bikes in Mill
Valley. He also served as a product developer for a category of bicycle
parts for Wilderness Trail Bikes and Koski Engineering. Faircloth has a
Bachelor of Science degree from Humboldt State University in Industrial
Technology.

Dennis Barrett, an experienced sales associate, will take over the southern
California territory as Marin¹s outside sales representative. Barrett has
worked as an independent sales representative for two years and draws upon
his previous experience working as an internal sales agent for Answer
products and as a store manager for Criterium Cyclesports in Van Nuys,
Calif.
